Sugarland Tickets - A Dose of Pop-Country Heaven

Sugarland has been doing its part to add a little diversification to the pop genre. In an article on baltimoresun.com, frontwoman Jennifer Nettles was quoted as saying, "I don't know how many times at meet and greets we get people who come up and say, 'I don't like country music, but I like what you do.' We say, 'You are who we write records for, my friend. Come on over.'"

Nettles, along with member Kristian Bush, is prepping for Sugarland's fourth studio album titled The Incredible Machine. It is currently slated for release sometime this summer. Sugarland is gearing up for a tour in support of The Incredible Machine, which will take them to dozens of different cities nationwide. Nettles said in a press statement, "This new tour is a thrill for me. It will reflect our latest writing and surprises to come for the new record, the hits that our fans love, along with the production value that people have come to trust and expect from our live shows."

Sugarland has been a fixture on the music scene for several years, and fans will remember that the group initially started as a trio featuring Nettles, Bush and Kristen Hall. Their first release was the independently issued EP Premium Quality Tunes. It was with their subsequent live performances that they caught the attention of both fans and critics who were quick to praise the trio for their ingenuity and talent. They released their first full length album in 2004, called Twice the Speed of Life, which ultimately received multi-platinum status. Some of the tunes from the record included "Want To," "Everyday America" and "One Blue Sky."

Two years later, Sugarland gave fans another treat with their follow-up record, Enjoy the Ride. The album made waves in both the pop and country genres, signaling cross-over success for the band. It was around this time, however, that Sugarland lost one of its members when Kristen Hall departed suddenly, leaving speculation that relations between the band members had faltered. Nevertheless, the remaining members continued to pursue success on the charts and their next album would show that they would have no trouble attaining it.

In 2008 they issued Love on the Inside, which yielded three singles that rocketed to the top of the Billboard charts. By the following year, it seemed that the members of Sugarland were some of the hottest superstars on the scene. In 2009 they walked with two Grammy Awards for Best Country Song and Best Country Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals, both for "Stay."

Join the throngs of fans at an upcoming Sugarland concert. No matter if you like country or pop tunes or a little bit of both, you will certainly find something to love about Sugarland. Get tickets today for an upcoming show near you!
